True optimal health is not about simply eating bundles of kale and juicing vegetables (although I do both daily and you should too!). There is much more involved in our health than food. As a Clinical Nutritionist, I practice a holistic approach to health and wellness, which means I look at how all areas of your life are connected. Does stress at your job or in your relationship cause you to overeat? Does lack of sleep or low energy prevent you from exercising? As we work together, we will look at how all parts of your life affect your health as a whole.
My approach is not to dwell on calories, carbs, fats, and proteins. It is not to create lists of restrictions or good and bad foods. Instead, I work with my clients to create a happy, healthy life in a way that is flexible, fun and rewarding.
Together we’ll work to reach your health goals in areas such as achieving optimal weight, reducing food cravings, increasing sleep, and maximizing energy. As we work together, you’ll develop a deeper understanding of the food and lifestyle choices that work best for you and implement lasting changes that will improve your energy, balance and health.

1. Assessing Your Biochemistry
We’ll review your biochemistry through a comprehensive questionnaire and a serious of health tests if deemed necessary. The results will help determine what we need to work on – food sensitivities, blood sugar issues, gut bacteria, cortisol levels, nutrient deficiencies, etc. We’ll use this information to custom design your individualized program.
One person’s food is another person’s poison, and that’s why fad diets tend to fail in the long run. Working on the principle of bio-individuality – meaning that each person has unique food and lifestyle needs - I’ll support you to make positive changes that are based on your unique needs, lifestyle, preferences, and ancestral background. I use a personalized, holistic approach to ensure that you will have great success!
2. General Nutrition
No perfect way of eating exists; we are all too individualistic to eat the exact same food. Your bio-individuality is shaped by many factors – your ancestry, digestion, blood type and metabolism among others. We will look at all of these factors in addition to your nutrient levels to best determine your unique needs. In the first few sessions of your program, we will discuss the basic nutrition principles and, if necessary, create a supplement program to target nutrient deficiencies. As your program progresses, we will introduce foods into your diet that are required by your body to perform at its optimal level. This may mean adding in red meat, increased carbohydrate, or even sea salt!
3. Health Counseling
My job as your Health Counselor is to help you master positive thoughts and healthy habits in order to achieve long-term success. We look inside your daily habits – Do you eat when you’re actually hungry? Have emotions led you to polish off a pint of ice cream? Are you eating only because you’re in a social situation? Do you relinquish healthy habits when dining out? Assessing these situations and determining what is at the bottom of your eating habits can help you to make simple changes that will eventually produce dramatic results.
