“I want to be healthy, I just don’t know how to get there.”

“I want to look and feel good, but I wake up every day and I’m not happy with what I see in the mirror.”

 

You’re not alone. I’ve been there myself.

 

It’s truth time: Health is not a destination.

Achieving true health is a journey that we must experience every day.

 

We live in a world where nutrition theory has become a never-ending game of ping-pong between who believes they're right and who has the final say. No wonder we’re all confused! Who do we listen to?

 

Let’s bring up a few typical nutrition “theories” to shed some light.

Maybe these sound like you: {no judgment zone.}

“They say whole wheat bread is healthy. Good, because I love carbs.”

“I should eat egg whites to avoid the yolk because it contains cholesterol.”

“To lose weight, all I have to do is expend more calories than I consume. So in theory, I just have to eat 1,200 calories per day and spend an hour on the treadmill.”

“Soy foods are acceptable protein options for women.”

“100 calorie packs are awesome because then I won’t overindulge!”

“Splenda has saved my life. Now I don’t have to worry about sugar.”

“I avoid fat at all costs! Eating fat makes you fat.”

“Being skinny is healthy. If I look great naked, I’m good to go.”

 

What if I told you that all - yes, ALL - of these so-called theories are absolutely inaccurate? You’d be as shocked as I was about six years ago. Yes, I was also once a victim of the media and hype. My journey to optimal health began when I woke up and realized I had been lied to for years. It felt like I had been cheated on. Emotions and all. I felt terrible physically; I was too thin with inflamed insides. I realized it was time for change. Read more of my story here.

 

It’s not your fault. We are inundated with messages from the media telling us how to eat. But guess what? The media, or dare I say it, even the USDA (United States Department of Agriculture), don’t have our best interests – and therefore our health – as a priority. Big dollars are the name of the game. Our health has taken a back seat.

 

The result? Americans are overweight, obese, and dealing with a plethora of epidemics ranging from Type II Diabetes to Body Image Disorders.

 

Think about it. When was the last time you saw a commercial encouraging you to eat real, whole foods? To visit your local farmer’s market to get the best produce available in your area? They don’t exist.

 

Why I’m here…

 

I’ve been right where you are.

 

You want so badly to be healthy, to feel great in and out, and have a body that supports your goals and passions. You want to wake up every morning grateful for the life you’ve got.

 

I do this work because I want to set you free from the confinements of your body ideals and societal standards. You are meant to feel fabulous and do amazing things in this world. It’s time to let go of what’s holding you back. It all comes down to the proper education and understanding your unique body. That’s where I come in.
